I was pretty young and dumb at the time; I didn't include a loss/damage clause in my contract when I gave the strip of six negatives to Cal Shenkel, the art director on the project. When I asked for my negatives back, Cal was fairly casual in telling me that he couldn't find them. That was a harsh lesson to learn. In 2008, a friend directed me to eBay; my proof sheets from that night were on auction - I bought my proof sheets back . . .
